Our wines at auction
Tokaj Furmint Dry Szent Tamás 2015 This Dry Furmint is a photograph of Tokaj’s most famous terroir. The winemaking is “rapid” and allows the winemaker to catch the character of this very specific plot in another vintage. 2015 was a very interesting year for the dry wines. First, we thought that the wines would be short of acidity because of the lack of rain. After all, the wines offer a nice acidity and a good balance. The wines deserve a rapid bottling. Twelve bottles minimum for sale. The Furmint Szent Tamás 2015 vintage will be presented once again in a 136 litre barrel, that is 182 bottles of 75 cl with a glass stopper. Variety: Furmint Vineyard: Mád, Szent Tamás-dülő | Planted: 1960s | Ground: red clay, broken zeolite, rhyolite tuff Harvest: 25th September Alcohol: 13 % | Sugar: 1,8 g Estimations: Barrel : 1240-1523 eFt / €4004-4914 | Bottle : 6820-8370 Ft / €22-27
Tokaj Aszú 5 puttonyos 2011 This lot is the second half of the lot presented at last year’s Great Tokaj Wine Auction. This Aszú 5 puttonyos is the only barrel of Aszú wine that we produced in 2011. The whole vintage is concentrated in this wine. Each aszú berry was picked individually and the Eszencia remained in the aszú berries, thus entering the wine. These Aszú berries were soaked in finished dry wine for three weeks, and after pressing, the wine was moved to the Gönci barrel. The wine started fermenting only in September 2013 and finished in the December. It was racked only once. It’s the Best of the Best of this vintage for us. The half barrel represents 136 bottles of 50 cl closed with natural cork. Variety : Furmint Vineyard : Olaszliszka | Planted : 1920-1930 | Ground : rhyolite tuff Harvest : aszú berries : 2nd November; base wine : 2nd November Alcool : 12 % | Sugar : 197 g Estimations: Half barrel : 2110-2950 eFt / €6800-9500 | Bottle : 15 500-21 700 Ft / €50-70
